This is a very sophisticated attack on the American voter psyche by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
Are Data Centers bad? The CCP wants you to think so.
Are you fearful that AI will usher in the age of SkyNet, Terminators and eradicate humanity?
Do you know what "gaslighting" means?
When you look in the mirror do you see a really stupid person staring back? The CCP hopes you don't.
The CCP is working really hard to make you hate data centers in order to slow down America's build out of AI computing.
The CCP does this by hyping out of context sound bites from Elon Musk, Jason Huang, etc. The sound bites always emphasize the out of control race to develop a deadly technology.
You dislike data centers because you've been fed lies. Lies like "data centers will use all our ground water" (Nope, they use closed loop heat exchangers - recycling the water). Another lie "they'll run up our electricity costs" (Nope, they don't build unless there is plenty of power, or they generate their own).
You're afraid of AI because along with the CCP, every semi-educated huckster is on podcasts hawking their books - solid fear-mongering.
Something to consider: do you know why the US has fallen behind in Nuclear power? Because a lot of people believe lies about nuclear power. I'm afraid that we could harm ourselves again if we legislate "common sense protections" against AI.
Do the people scaring you and feeding you a stream of lies have America's best interest at heart?
